Some time last November, Tiger Woods was still a great guy. He was not yet an alleged infidel. He was also in Melbourne, playing at the Australian Masters tournament. Bakerloo invitational logoWhat do you call 20 antipodeans travelling on cheap no-frills airlines to Portugal’s Algarve region, armed with golf clubs, a generous dose of testosterone and not nearly enough golf balls? Madness?…  Well it’s actually called ‘The Bakerloo Invitational’.

Born out of a healthy collective hunger for competition and a love of golf, the Bakerloo Jug has become somewhat of a holy grail dividing a group of friends who live north of the river in sunny London and commute on the Bakerloo underground line. (more…)

You will be the envy of your four-ball striding the fairways (or pavements) in style sporting your sharp new threads and accessories.  The pioneers of the original black golf ball that got the golfing world in a spin, the radical must have check-me-out golf ball first featured on the UK’s Channel 4′s Big Breakfast and then in numerous style/fashion/golf magazines as the phenomenon snowballed. Armed with a budget of only 50 (Kiwi) smackers and naked as the day we were born, 5 of us endeavor to make a tee time on (date TBA) paying for clubs, bag, attire, green fees and lunch all with our limited funds.
